Jon McSwiney

As well as running his own clinic in Wallingford in Oxfordshire, Jon has also been a member of the team at the Osteopathic Clinic since 1996. He has spent many years as a lecturer in anatomy and osteopathy at BCOM and remains a guest lecturer. He is a senior clinic tutor at Oxford Brookes University osteopathy clinic lecturing clinical studies focussing on future osteopaths clinical skills.


Jon has pursued his three passions. Firstly clinical practice working both with Tom and at his own practice, Castle Osteopathic and Natural Health Clinic in Wallingford Oxfrodshire.


Secondly, Jon has worked in all areas of employment as a musculoskeletal and ergonomics consultant. This has taken him to some extraordinary places, from working with oil tanker staff on the Isle of Skye, to how to safely move Napoleans gold desk at Windsor Castle for the Royal Household.


Jon is passionate about bringing the advice he gives to large employers to his clinical patients focussing on the everyday stresses of the work environment and developing strategies with the patient to reduce them.


In recognition of his work, The General Osteopathic Council listed Jon as one of the top 10 osteopaths in the country for 'the independent' news papers 'top brass' feature.


Jon has also worked with elite level rowers for many years


  • Jon was a member of the central medical team at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
  • Jon was part of the central medical team at the Para-Athletics World Championships and the IAAF World Championships in 2017.
